Availink Inc., a fabless IC design company founded by a group of successful entrepreneurs and technologists, focuses on digital TV, multimedia and communications. The company has two operation centers: one in Germantown, Maryland, a suburb of Washington D.C and the other in Beijing, China.

Availink has a core technical team of system experts and mixed signal IC design experts with extensive experience in IC development and system solutions. The technologies they invented have made a significant impact on WCDMA/CDMA2000, DVB, 802.11, and satellite radio.

Positioned to compete with industry leaders in the field, Availink has developed a series of technologies and products for the digital TV market. Our product portfolio includes ABS-S (Advanced Broadcasting System-Satellite, the mandated China DTH standard), DVB-S2 (Digital Video Broadcasting-Satellite-Second Generation), DTMB (Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcast, recently ratified as the Chinese national digital television broadcast standard) and SOC (System on Chip) for multimedia applications. The product portfolio covers all of the Chinese DTV standards. Availink has also completed the design of AVL4101, a decoder to offer backend solutions for customer’s various demands.

As a core technology provider, Availink is driving the Chinese DTH industry. Through close collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Broadcasting Science in the development of ABS-S, Availink proudly launched the first channel receiver IC in August, 2006 that is fully compliant with ABS-S. Furthermore, Availink is rolling out its DTMB channel receiver IC which is a high performance dual-mode chip that will redefine the industry. By successfully launching a DVB-S2 channel receiver IC with the lowest power consumption at the end of 2007, Availink has shown strong momentum as we enter into international competition.
